Android 7.0 Nougat Update Roll Out For Moto Z; Complete Guide From Nougat Prompt To Daydream VR Installation; 3 Changes To Expect After The Update [REPORT]
Notifications from Android 7.0 Nougat for system update starts coming to Moto Z units and users must know several steps to manage these updates correctly. The Nougat Update will upgrade their units to NPL25.85-15.
Upon receiving the update prompt on your Moto Z, click on "Yes, I'm in" to download the Android 7.0 update. When the download is complete, another prompt will ask users to install the update - just click on "Install Now". The installation will upgrade your old version to Nougat, India Express reported.
Users may manually check the update by going to Settings > About Phone > System Updates. Look for the Android 7.0 Nougat Update and install it to your Moto Z.
Changes to expect from the Android 7.0 Nougat Update
These awesome changes comes to the Moto Z after the update:
(1) Quick Apps Switching - Moto Z users can now switch between two of its most recent apps by just double-tapping on the overview or the recent app button.
(2) Multi-Window View - The best among the three features, it allows users to run apps simultaneously. Moto Z users can now text a friend while watching a video.
(3) Work Mode - This feature allows Moto Z users to shut down the work apps when not in use.
Tips for Daydream VR
Upon receiving the Android 7.0 Nougat Update Moto Z handsets become compatible with Google's mobile VR platform - Daydream. The same update also comes for Moto Z Force. This makes the duo the first phones to get compatibility setting for the VR Daydream aside from Google Pixel, Engadget reported.
Since its announcement last October, Nougat Update also rolls out to other Motorola phones including the following: 4th Gen Moto G Play, 3rd Gen Moto X Pure Edition, Moto X Style, Moto X Force, Moto X Play, Droid Turbo 2, Moto Z Droid, Droid Maxx 2, Moto Z Play Droid, Moto Z Play and Nexus 6.
