The top food and drink to help you shed some weight you have gained over the holidays have finally been revealed by the leading nutritionists.

According to them, jackfruit and cactus juice will be very popular in 2017 not only for their ability to make you slimmer but also to help you with digestion, lower down cholesterol levels and to help you recover from hangovers fast.

Jackfruit

Jackfruit has been a great substitute for pork for the vegetarians, but in the next year, it will not only be in demand as a substitute, but as an excellent alternative to prevent obesity. According to Carly Tierney, personal trainer and expert nutritionist at UK gym chain DW Fitness Clubs, jackfruit has anti-inflammatory properties to aid in weight loss. The seeds are also known to be a good source of Vitamin C and anti-oxidants which are beneficial for the immune system.

Cactus Plant

Cactus plant water, on the other hand, is also predicted to be popular next year because of its health benefits and ability to help you lose weight. It is naturally low in calories and it rich with dietary fiber that keeps you full so that you can go through your day feeling less hungry.

It is also excellent when it comes to fighting bad cholesterol and curing hangovers, according to Frida Harju, the in-house nutritionist at health app Lifesum. She also added that it has high levels of antioxidants making it very useful and healthy for the body, specifically to the immune system.
