The Best Career Advice Shared By a Successful Entrepreneur, Tony Robbins

By

Tony Robbins born in 1960, is an American businessman, author and philanthropist. He is the author of the famous books Unlimited Power, Unleash the Power Within and Awaken the Giant Within.

Life did not start easy for Robbins when he was a child. His father left them because he could no longer provide for their family. When he was growing up he helped provide for his siblings but was earning on a janitor's income. He never got the chance to attend college.

Robbins started his career when he began promoting seminars for Jim Rohn, who eventually became the mentor and coach of Robbins. It was during those times that he began his work as a self-help coach even when he did not even have a background in psychology.

Robbins was beginning to feel frustrated and felt like his hard work was not paying off. "I was really frustrated, and I'd been working my guts out - 12-, 14-hour days - nothing was working, and I was pissed off and frustrated," Robbins said.

He feared that he would be experiencing the same hardship his family went through when he was growing up. He shared these things with Rohn. It was during those times that Rohn shared with Robbins the career advice that he has shared too with millions of people.

"Tony, you're so focused on expecting things to happen so fast ... Your worth in the marketplace is based on your ability to add more value than anyone else. If you can find a way to do more for others in your company, more for the employees, more for the clients, than anybody else, your gifts will make room for you. But in order to do that, you've got to build skills,'" he said.

These words may have not made Robbins successful in an instant, but, he turned his career to a new direction by using a new approach that was different from Rohn's. This paved the way for the creation of his best-selling book "Unlimited Power".
