Sony started the Android N Beta program for the super-fast Android smartphone Xperia X Performance back in August. The Android Nougat firmware build number of Xperia X Performance is 39.2.A.0.327. Right now, the international l (F8131) and dual-SIM (F8132) variants of the Xperia X Performance smartphone are getting the update, according to XperiaBlog.

As the Android Nougat update for other Xperia models should be dropping in the next few days, other Xperia devices that will get the update include the Xperia X, Xperia XA, Xperia XA Ultra, Z5 series, Z4 Tablet and Z3+. The updates for these Sony devices should be up for grabs in early 2017, Android Police reported.

Sony is among the very few tech companies who have started rolling out the Android 7.0 update for its devices. Recently, HTC and LG also unleashed the Nougat update for their latest flagships.

That being the case, apart from the Xperia XZ, the Xperia X Performance is Sony's flagship this year, and also the first Sony device in line to receive the Android Nougat update. In spite of that, the Xperia X Performance smartphone features a Snapdragon 820 processor, 3 GB of RAM, a 5-inch 1080p display, as well as the 23 MP rear camera and a 13 MP front camera. The super-fast Android smartphone also comes along with an all metal build with dual front-facing speakers and a 2700 mAh battery, Gadgets has learned.
