Android 7.0 Nougat Update Finally Rollouts to LG Device; More Upcoming Schedules for Samsung and Huawei

Android 7.0 Nougat update is officially coming to LG device.

Android 7.0 Nougat Update Rollout to LG Device

Sprint carrier has received the Nougat update notification a few weeks ago and now it is time for T-Mobile's LG G5 to get Android's latest firmware. The update requires 1.2 GB of space and users have to make sure their handset battery is 80 percent the least.

The update will reportedly bring Nougat features to LG G5 alongside Android Security Patch released on Nov. 1.

With that being said, LG G5 handset will receive much improvement including more battery-efficient, notification-order changes and multi-window screen. However, the device may not be compatible with Google Daydream VR, Android Police reported.

LG has been a speedy smartphone when it comes to firmware update as the V20 is the world's first device to run Nougat out of the box. Hence, it is no surprise that the latest Android OS arrives at G5 instead of the other phones.

Android 7.0 Nougat Update Schedule for Samsung Device

Samsung has launched Beta Program until mid-December and currently several devices have been tested.

This means that users can expect Nougat update to rollout sometime in January 2017 for Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge. Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 series are expected to receive Android 7.0 Nougat update at a later date, Android Authority reported.

Android 7.0 Nougat Update Schedule for Huawei

Huawei Mate 9 already runs Android Nougat out of the box and its older sibling, Mate 8 is expected to receive the update sometime in December. However, the XDA Developer members have updated their Mate 8 handset's OS according to reports.

As for Nexus devices, Google is giving the handsets a privilege to run Android 7.1.1 Nougat starting from Dec. 6.

Previously, Motorola also officially announced Android 7.0 Nougat update for its 15 handsets. Check out the full list here.
