Android 7.1 Nougat Update for Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge using custom ROM

Good news for Galaxy S7 Edge users, now there is a custom ROM available for download to make the device running the newest Android OS.

N7 Pixel Edition is a custom ROM specifically designed for Galaxy S7 Edge device with the model number SM-G935F. According to Team Android, it is important to ensure that the device bears the exact number to avoid any crash in the system. User can check it through Settings menu and choose About Device.

This is not an official firmware rolled out by Samsung to its handsets, however, users who cannot wait to taste the advanced features of Nougat can download this custom ROM right away.

Android 7.0 Nougat update on Galaxy S7 Edge requires around 1.2 GB of space. Hence, it is recommended that users free the phone's internal memory and make sure the battery is at least 80 percent. Users are encouraged to perform data backup before the installation as everything in the system will be wiped.

When will the official Android 7.0 Nougat roll out to Galaxy S7?

The beta program for Samsung's selected devices has begun to roll out. And it is highly likely for Galaxy S7 family to be the first in line to get Android Nougat update.
