‘Pokémon Go’ News & Update: ‘Pokémon Go’ Thanksgiving Special Event; ‘Pokémon Go’ Combat Power Adjustments [VIDEO]

By

Mobile game company Niantic made it known that in an effort to follow up the highly successful Halloween event of "Pokémon Go" back in October, a Thanksgiving event for the game will transpire on Nov. 23. The event will double up the XP and Stardust of the players until the end of the month.

A blog post on the "Pokémon Go" official website stated that it has been an incredible experience since the video game company launched "Pokémon Go" in July 2016. The company is humbled that hundreds of millions of Pokemon fans around the world have joined on this journey. With that, Niantic would like to express their gratitude to the fans, and a better way of expressing the gratitude is to celebrate with the community.

Anyway, the Thanksgiving event of "Pokémon Go" encourages gamers to go outside and walk around in an attempt to catch more Pokémon creatures, thus, it will boost up a player's XP and Stardust. Stardust is an item that "Pokémon Go" players can make a practical use to power up Pokémon, BGR reported.

The Thanksgiving event of "Pokémon Go" runs from Nov. 23 until Nov. 30. "Pokémon Go" is up for grabs to play right now on iOS and Android devices.

In spite of that, Niantic is hoping that by offering more incentive to "Pokémon Go" players to go outside and catch Pokémon, these players will continue to remain active in the game.

On the other hand, Niantic has announced the combat power adjustments for creatures in the augmented reality game. Wherein, Rhydon, Gengar and Alakazam are getting an increased to their combat power in "Pokemon Go."

These combat power changes in the augmented reality game will come along with a more balanced, competitive battling and training experience in Gyms. In spite of that, Niantic will continue to adjust the CP to improve the game balance when necessary, IGN reported.
