LG G6 Release Date, Specs, Rumors: Smartphone Has No Modular Ecosystem; Device Has Same Technology Like Samsung Pay [VIDEO]

By

Due to LG's lack of success in its modular approach to its smartphones, the tech company's upcoming LG G6 is said to bring some changes. But with the release of the highly anticipated device, there are a number of rumors regarding what the smartphone will present.

It has been said that LG G6 will no longer carry the modular design, which was present in the previous LG G series. Like the LG G5, the smartphone technically expressed an interesting setup, as it developed several accessories that were expected to intensify the handset.

In spite of that, it seems the modular approach didn't fare so well with the tech fans. Because of this, it is likely that the tech giant will discontinue the setup for the new smartphone, Digital Trends reported.

However, many tech fans are excited to the forthcoming LG G6 as it is slated to be released early next year. They particularly look forward to the biggest features expected from the LG G6, which is said to come along with the ability to use Magnetic Secure Transmission (MST) technology, which is similar to Samsung Pay. This technology will bring a new mode of payment for LG smartphone users, Slash Gear has learned.

Other rumors claimed that the LG G6 smartphone will be packed with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 830 chip, as well as the Android Nougat 7.0. Adding up to the smartphone's specs, it is rumored that the device will boast a curved OLED screen that can compete with Samsung's products.

Aside from that, the LG G6 smartphone is expected to be capable of wireless charging as well. Rumor has it that the device will hold on to the metallic body and glass chassis. Be that as it may, when the LG G6 will be released, the device might turn out to be less unconventional compared to its predecessor.
