If you're one of the Android users who's not a fan of big displays, then Google Pixel and Nexus 5X are the best smartphones to choose from. Both handsets are made by Google, but only one of them offers near perfect hardware and software integration and best Anrdroid experience.

Physical Design

The 5.2-inch Nexus 5X is bigger than Pixel which is 5.0-inch in size; however, the latter is heavier than the former due to its body wrapped in metal and glass. Nexus 5X body is made of polymer plastic and is considered as durable compared to Pixel's glass back, which is prone to breaking when drop.

Display

Nexus 5X features an LCD screen whilst Pixel is built with AMOLED screen with screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. For this reason, Pixel phone screen is brighter, has sharper colors and deeper blacks, according to Digital Trends.

Battery

Pixel phone has higher battery capacity of 2700 mAh compared to Nexus 5X 2700 mAh. For this reason, Pixel phone has the capability to last for 13 hours on internet use as a result of hardware and software optimization.

Camera

So far, Google Pixel is considered as the smartphone with best camera features, garnering the highest score on DXOMark. With its improved HDR+ processing, Pixel can capture photos in a quick manner through the use of a 12.3MP rear camera.

Performance

Nexus 5X runs the Snapdragon 808 version while Google Pixel is powered by Snapdragon 821, which makes the smartphone faster than its predecessors. In addition, Nexus 5X has a memory of 2GB lower than Pixel with 4GB of RAM.

It is apparent that Google has increased the memory capacity of Pixel phone and improved its processor. The added specs can be summed up through the additional $250 which, according to Android Headlines, an added cost for new technology. But if the user is an average Android user, Nexus 5X is the way to go.
