American television is hungry for the Kardashians. The popular show "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" is one proof that viewers are thoroughly interested in the lives of celebrities. Many keep up to date with the latest rumors and trends.

But there are some things that are not even seen on television. For example, Kourtney Kardashian is not only a famous American television personality but she is also a Theatre Arts graduate. Although she stars in separate reality spin offs like "Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami" or "Kourtney and Kim Take New York."

But it is notable to consider, according to Glamour Magazine, that Kourtney went to a university and finished her higher education.

The Los Angeles, California local was born in 1979. In her younger years, she attended Marymount High School. Marymount High School is an all girls Roman Catholic school in Los Angeles. After her high school graduation, she transferred to Dallas, Texas and enrolled in the Southern Methodist University. After two years, she moved to Tucson, Arizona. From there she completed her bachelor's degree in Theatre Arts at the University of Arizona. At the same time, she minored in Spanish.

It is interesting to mention that she was classmates with Nicole Richie and Luke Walton. And even though she took theatre arts as a major, she admits she is not an actress. She made a small appearance on the soap opera "One Life To Live." She thought she would only have a small line. "But my script is so long... I'm not an actress," says Kourtney. This made her realize that her life long dream is not meant for her.

Even though her rise to fame was due to the fact that her sister, Kim, made a sextape, she made sure she used her rise to prominence wisely.

Now, with her sisters Kim and Khloe, Kourtney Kardashian is thoroughly involved in retail and fashion. She and her sisters have successfully launched multiple clothing lines. One such venture is "Smooch" which has branches in Los Angeles and New York City. Aside from investing in the clothing industry, Kourtney also worked with her sisters on a sunless tanner called "Kardashian Glamour Tan." She is also a book writer.
