"PlayStation 4 Update 4.00" will roll out on Tuesday as confirmed by Sony. Whereas, the upcoming "PlayStation 4 Pro Update" release date is in November. So far, this is going to be the biggest system update by Sony packed with new features and amenities for gamers out there.

PS4 Update 4.00 will hit the shelves today as announced by Sony. According to PlayStation Lifestyle blog, Codename Shingen, "PS4 update 4.00" will introduce new features such as enhanced connectivity where content can be transferred through an Ethernet cable, customized folders, high dynamic range or HDR, PS4 Pro support for streaming or broadcasting and imaging technology. Also, Sony is preparing for the next system update of "PlayStation 4 Pro".

As reported by PC Mag, PS4 Update 4.00 offers convenience to players when it comes to music streaming. The enhanced Music Section offer recommended playlists for the player's current game and that's better compared to opening the Spotify app. A player can play, pause, skip, repeat, shuffle and save songs while in the gaming mode.

Aside from that, a more socialized environment is created for the players through the redesigned What's New where it enables the player to know what his friends have been doing recently. Much similar to a news feed, the player can see the overview of the game, friends and communities, trending media, activities and all other content in PS Store.

In addition, Sony introduced the redesigned Quick Menu in" PS4 Update 4.00" where players need not to leave the game just to access the menu. The revamped one took only a portion of the screen with shortcut icon apps which can be accessed quickly.

PlayStation 4 Pro Update

PlayStation Lifestyle added that PlayStation 4 Pro updates will roll out in November 10, 2016. Number of features is added in order to support the high-resolution content of the system. This includes 1080p streaming for Remote Play on PC/Mac and Xperia devices that are compatible, Share Play streaming of 1080p, Live broadcasting in YouTube in 1080p 30/60 fps and Live broadcasting in Twitch at 1080p 30 fps.
