Galaxy J5 2016 edition is a 5.2 inch smartphone with Super AMOLED display. The screen packs 720 x 1280 pixels resolution and 282 ppi pixel density.

Lenovo K5 Note still uses IPS LCD for its 5.5 inch screen but it comes with 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution and higher pixel density of 401 ppi, GSM Arena wrote.

Both phones have metal body but Samsung Galaxy J5 is 0.4 mm thinner and 6 grams lighter than the K5 Note. As far as the design is concerned, Galaxy J5 2016 feels more premium due to the metal frame and brushed look.

Moving on under the hood, Galaxy J5 uses quad-core Snapdragon 410 with 2GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal memory. The K5 Note houses octa-core Helio P10 with optional 3 GB or 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. Galaxy J5 gets a dedicated slot for memory expansion but Lenovo K5 Note uses SIM 2 slot for that. Galaxy J5 runs Android Marshmallow and K5 Note runs Android Lollipop.

K5 Note optics use 13 MP and 8 MP cameras. The rear shooter features phase detection autofocus and dual LED flash. Galaxy J5 gets 13 MP and 5 MP cameras. The primary camera only gets LED Flash and autofocus. What's great about the J5 front shooter is that Samsung already brings LED flash to it. Another thing to note is that Galaxy J5 camera features ISO control and continuous shooting.

In term of audio quality, K5 Note uses Dolby Atmos to enhance the experience. The phone has dedicated mic and noise cancellation feature for better video and audio recording.

Lenovo K5 Note has fingerprint sensor and is a VR-ready smartphone whilst Galaxy J5 is lacking of both.

K5 Note gets 3,500 mAh non removable battery and Galaxy J5 has 3,100 removable mAh. The good thing about a removable battery is that user can carry a backup. Since both does not get fast-charging feature, Samsung Galaxy J5 is the winner.
