Samsung is reportedly developing a bolstered up Android smartphone slated to follow the Galaxy J line called the Galaxy J7 Prime which is expected to come with better specs than its predecessor.

Samsung dominated headline with the Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy Note 7, and it looks like the South Korean tech firm is gearing up to do so again with an update to the Galaxy J line, dubbed as the Galaxy J7 Prime. Furthermore, an array of leaks and rumors regarding the Galaxy J7 Prime have been doing rounds online indicating that it could be another bestseller from the renowned smartphone manufacturer.

Most recently, the Galaxy J7 Prime was spotted in a TENAA certification log. This could imply that the purported handset is likely to hit the store shelves sometime soon, DigitalTrends reported.

Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime: Specs & Features

If rumors proved to be true, the Galaxy J7 Prime will sport a 1080p 5.5-inch AMOLED screen. The international version of the device will be powered by a Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor, while an Exynos 7870 powered version could be in the offing for the Asian market just like their current offering.

The Samsung Galaxy J7 is rumored to pack 3 GB of RAM. The device will come with a robust 3300mAh battery which is comparatively better than today's standards, GSM Arena reported.

If the recently-surfaced leaks are anything to go by, the Galaxy J7 will feature a 13 MP plus 5 MP camera setup just like the the J7 (2016).

Samsung has not spilled the beans about the Galaxy J7's pricing and availability; however reports claim that the company is likely to retain its competitive price tag.

Although the Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime does not belong to the high-end Android smartphone category, the device is good enough to compete with ASUS's current ZenFone3 offerings which target the mid to high-end market.

Citing the leaked details from the log, it looks like the Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime could hit the store shelves soon. Samsung is likely to debut the smartphone with the Exynos processors in Korea before any other region.
