Allen Iverson Celebrity Basketball Game Happening At Temple University

Celebrities love to play sports and some take the time to show the community about charity and growth. This time, Allen Iverson, the Sixers icon, is set to return to Philadelphia to host the upcoming Allen Iverson Celebrity Basketball Game this Friday.

Happening at Temple University's Liacouras Center on Friday, the game is dedicated to the Police Athletic League of Philadelphia. The proceeds will go the the League and Iverson's iChooseLife Foundation. The game is not only for the benefit of these two groups but to show the community the "importance of learning how to experience life the right way."

Iverson's love for basketball has been recorded in the sports annals for 12 seasons. He was named NBA Rookie of the Year back in 1997 and Most Valuable Player in 2001.

Through basketball, according to Philly Voice, Iverson gathered his celebrity friends from the entertainment and sports circuit to participate. However, the list of celebrities that were invited to attend has not yet been released. The only confirmation, aside from Iverson, is Julius Erving - a 76ers.

However, some reports indicate that hosts producer Jahlil Beats, rapper Pusha T, and boxer Danny "Swift" Garcia are joining this year. In addition, Allen will be showcasing his coaching skills and interacting with his fans, you don't want to miss this!

If you'd like to join the event and planning to spend the weekend in Philly, they are selling tickets starting at $15 for the game up to $100 for court side seats. A $200 ticket scheduled for the Thursday gala prior to the game are also being sold. The gala will be at the Sheraton Philadelphia Society Hill Hotel.

Plus, there's dinner before the actual game at the LC lounge at 5:30 PM if you'd like some grub.
