A company has been given the green light to delivery medical marijuana in Florida for the first time

Truelieve, the company that delivered non-euphoric pot oil to a patient in Hudson, made an official announcement to be the first organization authorized to dispense medical cannabis in Florida.

CEO Kim Rivers said that the low-THC medical marijuana was delivered to a patient who suffered from chronic muscle spasms and seizures. On Tuesday, the dispensing company was given a green light by state's Department of Health. Now, Truelieve begins to sell medical marijuana at distribution center in Tallahassee.

Who can order the medical marijuana home delivery?

According to Department of Health, currently there are 15 doctors registered in the state to authorize the order. Patients with epilepsy, cancer, chronic seizures and muscle spasms can contact these experts and get home delivery medical marijuana as part of their treatments. The marijuana can also be given to patients with terminal illness, diagnosed with no more than a year to live.

So far, Truelieve is the only organization to obtain dispensing authorization. With this authorization, the company can do home delivery medical cannabis throughout the state. There are five others who will also provide the same service and are expected to be available in 18 cities.

What types of medical marijuana are distributed?

The medical marijuana is available in tinctures, gel capsules, concentrated oil and vape cartridges. As per Florida CBD-Specific Marijuana Law, the regulations require the medical cannabis to be 'low in tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) but high in cannabidiol (CBD). The combination allows the drug to put patient at euphoric state and ease the anxiety, nausea, convulsion and more.

As the first legally operating dispensary in Florida, this groundbreaking medical marijuana home delivery will help patients across the state in getting the natural medicine right in front of their doorstep.
