‘2016 Republican National Convention’ Day 3: Ted Cruz booed at the stage, Mike Pence gives acceptance speech [VIDEO]

By

Senator Ted Cruz booed by the supporters of Republican Presidential nominee Donald Trump after he failed to endorsed the latter in his speech during his prime time speaking slot. After long months of speculations, "will he or won't he", the supporters were disappointed when Senator Cruz remained defiant to the end of his speech and refused to refer Trump by name.

Even his wife, Heide Cruz, did not escaped the wrath and jeer from the crowd but both endured the moment. According to Telegraph, Senator Cruz committed a stunning political sabotage.

Donald Trump's son Eric Trump rescued his father from the bad light of the moment. "Dad you are my hero, you are my best friend, you are the next President of the United States," he said in his speech with a standing ovation. Donald Trump described the non-endorsement as "no big deal" in his tweet after the festivities concluded.

Despite the tension, Indiana governor and Mr. Trump's running mate Mike Pence gave his acceptance speech, where he described Mr. Trump as a genuine article. He said in his speech, "He's a doer in a game usually reserved for talkers. And when Donald Trump does his talking, he doesn't tiptoe around the thousand new rules of political correctness. " Pence made criticized the statement of Democrat Presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, "It was Hillary Clinton who left Americans in harm's way in Benghazi and after American's fell, said, 'What difference at this point does it make?'"

It can be recalled when Donald Trump skipped the GOP debate last January 29, 2016 to host a benefit for U.S. Veterans at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. This is the event where Trump earned the sympathy of his supporters and this might be the reason why Ted Cruz was booed when he refused to endorsed their candidate.

The 2016 Republican National Convention held in Quicken Loans Arena Cleveland, Ohio will culminate on July 21, 2016 with the theme "Make America First Again".
