Microsoft is reportedly pressured to release its best-in-class 2-in-1 PC, the Surface Pro 5. As the sales of the tech company on Surface products were down since 2016, tech fans and experts believe that it is now time to roll out the Microsoft Surface Pro 5.

As the sales of the tech titan declined since last year, Microsoft blames the low sales of the Microsoft Surface Pro. As a result, tech fans and experts anticipated the imminent release date of the Microsoft Surface Pro 5, CNBC reported.

On Microsoft's sales report for the quarter ended March 31, the Redmond, Washington based tech titan's revenue from the Microsoft Surface products descended by 26 percent. One of the reasons behind the sales drop also point to the delay of the highly anticipated Microsoft Surface Pro 5.

Nonetheless, the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 along with the Surface Phone are said to roll out this May. The tech company has reportedly sent the media invites for the launch event. There's a possibility that the Microsoft Surface Phone will be launched on May 2 while the upcoming 2-in-1 PC is still not confirmed.

In spite of that, the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is expected to be available with Intel's latest Kaby Lake processor, a 16GB of RAM, and a 512GB of internal storage. Microsoft's upcoming ultrathin laptop is said to have a new rechargeable Surface Pen stylus along with a wireless charging feature, Channel Pro reported.

Also, tech experts are expecting the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 to roll out with a new Surface Dial as an accessory. The price of the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is yet to confirm. But, the design of the device is likely to be bezel-less.

Microsoft has reportedly given Pegatron electronics company the manufacturing license of the Surface Pro 5. The Taiwanese manufacturing company is the same firm that manufactured Microsoft's Surface Studio.
