Verizon Wireless has just started releasing a new software update to its selected devices.

Verizon Wireless March security update is currently being roll out to Google Pixel smartphones and Google Pixel XL smartphones within its network. The said software update has been tested, and will help to optimize Google Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones' performance. Aside of optimizing both smartphones' performance, the update will bring in the latest security patch (though no specific details on what vulnerabilities were patched) and will resolve some known issues of both devices.

The update, which will be arriving as build number NOF27B, will also bring improvements on Bluetooth, as the official change log states that this will increase the reliability of sending/receiving calls with Honda Bluetooth Carkit, GSM Arena has learned. The update may also fix the random disabling of Bluetooth connection experienced by Pixel owners.

Meanwhile, aside from Verizon Wireless, Canadian carrier Rogers receives own specific build for its Pixel and Nexus devices. The Android 7.1.1 March security patch will address minor bug fixes and patch 60 vulnerabilities, 9to5Google reported. The same publication noted that 21 issues and 39 issues were respectively resolved on March 1 and March 5 patch update.
