Fans are already excited about the upcoming multiplayer mode of "Mass Effect: Andromeda." BioWare announced a multiplayer tech test, only to cancel it recently.

The live multiplayer will still be available at PAX East on March 10 to 12, but a tech test for players at home won't roll out like what was previously expected, BioWare announced. "Mass Effect: Andromeda" players will be able to do more in the gameplay than in "Mass Effect 3."

The latter only allowed players to stay and defend a specific location but in the upcoming game, they will be able to hide or dodge as new enemy types barge at them from all sides.

Multiplayer mode is a huge part of the game's campaign. In December, game director Mac Walters said that multiplayer "drives" the gameplay by providing plenty of fast-paced action scenes, IGN reported.

Combat is also better thanks to multiplayer mode along with body customizations. Single-player mode will not include the latter.

There are changes in the class system, too. With the new classes, players don't have to decide if they want to be a Vanguard or an Adept at the beginning. Rather, they are given the opportunity to develop into the class they want to be a part of; they can also change their direction if they feel like it's not for them.

Comedic actor Kumail Nanjiani is lending his voice to the alien Jarun Tann in "Mass Effect: Andromeda." The extraterrestrial creature is a sneaky, Salarian politician who only thinks of his own interests.

Nanjiani thinks that Tann has good intentions but craves power at the same time, GameSpot reported. The alien is oftentimes excited but "also a little bit in over his head [and] doesn't want anyone to know." Whenever there's a mission, Tann makes sure that everyone knows how important he is.

"Game of Thrones" stars Natalie Dormer and Gethin Anthony are also voicing characters in the game. Dormer portrays Dr. Lexi T'Perro. "The Shawshank Redemption" actor Clancy Brown, meanwhile, is voicing Ryder's father.

The game's full nudity warranted it an M rating in North America. BioWare General Manager Aaryn Flynn jokingly described the title as "totally softcore space porn" due to its tough characters venturing into romances and mature storylines, Express reported. "Mass Effect: Andromeda" will roll out on March 21 for Xbox One, PC and PlayStation 4.
