Microsoft Azure Cloud is getting some big lift this week as Microsoft announced some great news for Azure customers. The company is adding some Azure Active Directory monitoring capabilities on board. The software company made the huge announcement this week.

As mentioned earlier in the Microsoft Enterprise and Mobility Blog, Microsoft has just announced the commercial release of the two Azure Active Directory monitoring capabilities, which include Azure AD Connect Health for Windows Server AD Domain Services and Azure AD Connect Health Sync Error Reports.

However, there are some options in Microsoft Azure AD Connect Health, which is a part of the Azure portal that been used for viewing alerts and performance stats. The company said that customers are required to have Azure AD premium subscription to be able to use the Azure AD Connect Health service.

The new Azure AD Connect Health for Windows Server AD Domain Services (ADDS) is a big addition to the Azure portal, where it shows the health of domain controllers on Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Server 2012, Windows Server 2012 R2, and Windows Server 2016.

Additionally, the new tool can also help IT admins to have e-mail alerts sent to them for making some quick response to critical IT issues. IT admins can also get graphic displays of performance data.

According to the Microsoft-focused website RedmondMag, Microsoft's Azure announcement claimed that it has simplified the Azure AD Connect Health licensing approach. In the newly revamped Azure AD Connect Health licensing approach, an Azure AD Premium subscription is required to be able to use the first Connect Health agent and that each additional agent requires 25 additional incremental Azure AD Premium licenses, RedmondMag reported.

As for the pricing and service availability, the Microsoft Azure Active Directory currently comes in four editions. The free edition is already included with a Microsoft Azure subscription, while the basic and premium editions are available only via a Microsoft Enterprise Agreement, the cloud Solution Providers program, and the Open Volume License program.

In addition to the four editions, Azure and Office 365 subscribers can also acquire an Azure AD (Active Directory) Basic and Premium services online. Customers can get the full details of the pricing and service availability of the Azure services at the Microsoft Azure website. Customers can also learn more about the Azure AD Connect Health at the Microsoft Azure website.

According to Microsoft, Azure AD (Active Directory) is a comprehensive identity and access management solution that combined advanced identity governance, application access management, and core directory services.
