"Suits" will air its Season 6 finale next week. The episode is expected to reveal what will become of The Donna, Mike's (Patrick Adams) mission to become a legitimate lawyer and whether or not Louis (Rick Hoffman) and Tara (Carly Pope) can survive a roadblock in their relationship.

The Donna -- an artificial intelligence invented by Benjamin (David Reale) based on Donna's personality (Sarah Rafferty) -- started out as a comic relief in the legal drama's latest episodes, but it turned out to be something more in "Quid Pro Quo." The device made Donna evaluate her career and growth outside of Harvey (Gabriel Macht).

Donna and Benjamin initially pitched The Donna as a business venture to Stu (Ian Reed Kessler), but they turned down his offer because he was demanding 90 percent ownership of the product. The duo then approached a pair of investors.

All seemed to be going well until Donna overheard them saying that they only listened to her pitch as a favor to Harvey and that they weren't interested at all to do business with a legal secretary. This dampened Donna's spirits, but Benjamin gave her a pep talk and they ultimately accepted Stu's offer.

The Donna represents Donna's opportunity to be someone other than Harvey's long-time secretary. In a recent interview with TVLine, Rafferty said that the business venture doesn't necessarily mean that Donna will leave Pearson Specter Litt, but focuses more on her growth, "deeper issues" and "legacy."

This wasn't the first time that Donna expressed her identity crisis. In Season 4, she got in legal trouble for helping Mike. When Harvey confronted her, she broke down and pointed out that she just sits out of Harvey's office and "answer the phone."

A flashback episode also revealed that Donna wanted to be an actress, but she gave up on that dream due to practical reasons. As an adult, she now feels like that dream has been "dashed, to some extent" and she's craving to be relevant and do something different that doesn't tie her with Harvey.

In the Season 6 finale of "Suits" titled "Character and Fitness," Mike will seek Harvey and Rachel's (Meghan Markle) help to "overcome an impossible obstacle and achieve his dream of becoming a real lawyer," SpoilerTV reported. The Donna will face another setback, and Louis will try to make amends with Tara.

A "Suits" spinoff centered on Gina Torres' character, Jessica Pearson, is being developed in silence, according to TVLine. Jessica left Manhattan in September's midseason finale to be with Jeff (DB Woodside) in Chicago.
