An official release date for "Rick and Morty" Season 3 is still amiss. Fans are frustrated over the delay and it seems that Adult Swim is enjoying the torture. The network released a teaser for the third season -- only it didn't exactly showcase new footages as what fans assumed.

The 40-second video, which you can watch at the end of this report, claimed to contain the opening scene of Season 3. That's not the case, though.

The clip was fashioned after the popular Rickrolling internet meme and only showed rapid snippets from the show's first two seasons. Rickrolling is an internet prank that features a sudden appearance of the 1987 music video for Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up." The meme is usually hidden in a deceiving hyperlink.

Adult Swim is urging viewers to share the clip, though they didn't give any details about the official premiere date of Season 3. Earlier this month, co-creator Dan Harmon tweeted that Season 3 is in the drawing process with the scripts finished in September. There weren't any details, however, about how far along the drawing process is.

Harmon revealed that the reason behind Season 3's delay is his and co-creator Justin Roiland's perfectionism. He said that they only want to include the best and funniest jokes in the new episodes, Cinema Blend reported.

Harmon, however, clarified on Twitter that the delay wasn't due to in-house fighting. He stressed that he and Roiland never had fights but they do "respect and terrify each other and always want the other to be happy." He also called out fans who constantly ask about the release date of Season 3 "15 and dumb."

It's possible that "Rick and Morty" Season 3 will be released in March, Den of Geek speculated. The third season will have 14 episodes penned by new writers.

The identity of Rick's savior may have been revealed on the program's new website, which allows fans to check out what's happening on Earth. The website provides a prisoner database of the Galactic Federation.

Rick's ID in there is AE-3852, and it indicates that he got arrested for "Everything," according to Tripped Media. A "glitch" on the website, however, shows a hacker named FR33R1CK5455. A Gromflomite was seen logging in and saying that he made the private channel, urging speculations that the Gromflomite is FR33R1CK5455.

Another theory claimed that Evil Morty is FR33R1CK5455. In the Season 2 finale, Morty professed that Rick's departure will wreck him. With his intellect, he can hack into the Galactic Federation's website.
