Fans are only a month away from "The Originals" Season 4. An official trailer was already revealed a week ago and to further appease viewers' thirst, The CW unveiled the upcoming season's official concept art.

The chilling image showed a young girl standing inside a circle of dead birds in the middle of the woods. The child is looking -- and seems to be heading towards -- a huge tree with serpentine roots. The poster bears the haunting tag line, "Evil walks with us... always and forever." Check out the image below.

Given that Season 4 will showcase a five-year time jump, many are assuming that the girl in the concept art is Hope (Summer Fontana), the hybrid child of Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin).

This raises questions of whether or not New Orleans should fear the seemingly innocent Hope, or whether or not the girl will turn out to be evil at some point. Hope being a powerful individual is no question, given that she possesses witch, vampire and wolf blood. The combination of those traits is bound to give the child extraordinary abilities that weren't seen in the show's other creatures before.

However, there's also the possibility that the "evil" in the tag line refers to a more malevolent creature coming to New Orleans, someone who even the powerful Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) will have a hard time placating.

True enough, a new villain in Season 4 of "The Originals" was teased earlier this year, TV Guide reported. His/her identity remains a secret for now, though.

If this incoming foe is too great for Marcel to handle, he may set Klaus loose and convince the Mikaelsons into helping him defeat the new threat to New Orleans. This is not going to be an easy feat for Marcel; he would have to convince the Mikaelsons to trust him again after the wicked stunt he pulled off last season.

"The Originals" Season 4 will open to Hayley desperate to save Elijah (Daniel Gillies) and Kol (Nathaniel Buzolic). Alaric (Matthew Davis) and Cami (Leah Pipes) will also appear in the upcoming season.

The new season will also showcase Klaus fathering Hope. The man, however, will doubt his parenting abilities due to the years they spent apart, showrunner Michael Narducci told Yahoo TV.

What do you think of the new concept art? Do you believe that there's something sinister about Hope's powers? Share your thoughts below! "The Originals" returns for its fourth season on Friday, March 17 at 8/7c on The CW.
