Nintendo "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" is nearing its release date. Just recently, people found out that the developer added a better HUD to the upcoming game, fueling players' excitement even further.

YouTuber Gehab discovered that the game will have two HUD options -- the standard Normal and a Pro mode. These options can be found in the Settings menu. You can check the choices out on Gehab's video (around the 2.30 mark) at the end of this report.

HUD, or Heads Up Display, is where players can view their character's vital statistics including current health level, ammunition count, and armor level, among others. HUD shouldn't be too obvious and should go unnoticeable when players are immersed in the game. At the same time, HUD should be easily observed at a single glance.

The Pro mode is expected to disable every aspect of the Normal HUD except the life gauge. The latter is still visible on the screen's top left corner.

Players who want to be challenged more while playing the game will surely get a kick out of the new Pro HUD mode. The absence of miscellaneous on-screen meters and gauges provide a "realistic" or "tactical" tone to the game, with only the character's health visible. This encourages players to be more aware and considerate of Link's temperature and stamina in order to survive amid deadly monsters, according to WWG.

Pro HUD mode also shows more of the game's art direction and the breathtaking beauty of Link's world. This means the screenshots you capture in the game will be scenic and akin to a photograph.

It's possible that the game will have additional settings in the near future. For now, players will greatly appreciate playing on a screen with less clutter for their eyes.

The game's development process has recently concluded after various delays and an abrupt change in platforms. The news was announced by a very enthusiastic Yasuyuki Honne, a developer on Monolith Soft. The latter partnered with Nintendo in the creation of "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild." Check out the tweet announcing the game going gold below.

"The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" will be released on March 3 on the Nintendo Switch and Wii U. What do you think of the game's Pro HUD mode? Sound off in the comments section below!
