Dell unveiled its trio of new Chromebooks for students and schools at the BETT education expo in London. The Dell notebook lineup offers a variety of designs, operating systems and sizes that should let even the fastidious student find the device that's just right.

One of Dell's latest laptop is fittingly dubbed as the Chromebook 11 Convertible. The device is destined for schools, so the form of Chromebook 11 Convertible is really the catchiest thing about it. The laptop comes along with a generation-old Intel Celeron processor, its keyboard and trackpad are fully sealed, and the Chromebook 11 Convertible has a rubberized trim to improve its shock resistance.

While the pen-equipped Latitude 11 Convertible will have a price tag of $579, the Dell Chromebook 11 Convertible will cost $349. The traditional Latitude 11 will be available for $349, and the non-convertible Dell Chromebook 11 will be up for grabs for $219, according to Laptop Mag.

Alongside the Chromebook 11 Convertible, the American tech giant also announced the Chromebook 11 and Chromebook 13, which are Chrome OS incarnations of the existing Windows laptops. The Chromebooks may be packed with older processors, but it will be available at a lower price. The said laptops will be launched on Feb. 7.

The new Chromebook 11 will feature the following ports - SD Card Reader, Headphone Jack, 2-USB 3.0 Ports, and 1-HDMI Port, Dell reported. Although the company did not mention the battery size, but Dell claims it will provide at least 10 hours of battery life.

Nonetheless, Dell's announcement comes right alongside the renewed push of Google to get Chromebooks into schools. On the other hand, Asus and Acer both announced their own 11-inch convertible Chromebooks, with one supporting a stylus. It appears like Google has some ideas about what Chromebooks should be this year, and now Google has a few partners rolling out the configuration, The Verge reported.
