US-based wireless carrier T-Mobile today announced a brand new highly affordable smartphone from LG, namely the LG Aristo. This is an affordable handset that's set to be available on T-Mobile starting January 25, just two days after it was released for another telco player, MetroPCS.

LG Aristo Hardware Specs And Features
According to GSM Arena, the 5-inch smartphone is a rebranded LG K8 2017, which was introduced for global release last year. Powering the LG Aristo will be a 1.4 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor, paired with a 1.5 GB of RAM and whopping 16 GB of onboard storage. There's also a microSD card slot that can beef up storage by up to 32 GB more.

The phone features a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera and a removable 2410 mAh battery. Additionally, the Aristo also sports a rear-mounted fingerprint reader below the camera. The LG Aristo runs the latest Android 7.0 Nougat OS and supports for VoLTE and Wi-Fi Calling.

The smartphone also packs convenience selfie features like Gesture Interval Shot, which allows the user to take four selfies in sequence. There's also the Selfie Light, which said to illuminate a soft light around the phone's photo preview for selfies. And the Auto Shot, which allows users to take selfies automatically using face detection.

In addition to the T-Mobile offering, another US carrier, MetroPCS will also sell LG Aristo for just $59, starting on Monday, January 23. This price tag comes after a $70 instant rebate, according to Android Authority.

The phone will be MetroPCS' first Android 7.0 Nougat phone when it hit the market on Jan. 23.
LG Aristo will start rolling out to T-Mobile's subscribers on Jan. 25 for $0 down and $6 per month for 24 months, that's $144 or $6 per month for 2 years.

T-Mobile is also offering a 25 percent off a Tech21 protective case and screen protector for the LG Aristo if bought together.

The LG Aristo may not have the basic specifications of a budget smartphone, but it still less expensive in terms of pricing. With $59 price, it's one of the cheapest smartphones in MetroPCS's lists.
