Nintendo's upcoming action-adventure game "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" will finally get its release date on March 3 for the North America region. Nintendo made the big announcement during a special Nintendo Switch live stream.

Breath Of The Wild Hints A Skyrim-like Game
Nintendo has a history of taking gaming's open worlds and survival elements, then tweaking them until they feel good in the eyes of the gamers. It seems Nintendo has done it again in the "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild."

According to The Verge, the game boasts a much larger gaming area than any Zelda games in the series. The landscape said to be filled with rock formations, clumps of tall trees, and some ruins of lost civilizations, much like the Bethesda's very own open-world RPG "The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim." Some called it the Nintendo's own version of "Skyrim."

The Game Get Nintendo Switch Launch Date
According to Polygon, The Nintendo Switch version of "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" will be comparable to the one on Nintendo Wii U.

As reported by the gaming website Polygon, there will be three different editions of the "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild." The first is a standard edition, while the second one is a special edition, which will include a collectible coin along with carrying case, map, soundtrack, and tapestry. The third is a Zelda master edition, which will have the same offerings with the special edition along with a special Master Sword figure but it will cost the gamers around $129.99.

The "Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" has made available to play during the Nintendo Switch hands-on events in New York City and Tokyo this weekend.

The game is the nineteenth entry in the Zelda series and the first game in the series that been developed with an HD resolution. The new version constitutes a strong departure from most games in the Zelda series, with its open-world environment and an advanced physics engine.

First introduced in 2013, the game was initially planned for Nintendo Wii U exclusive release in 2014. But after being delayed for about three years, the game is now set for release as a launch title for the Nintendo Switch on March 3, 2017.

The "Breath of the Wild" will be coming to Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Wii U on March 3, 2017.
