Being a great worker doesn't end with writing "I'll be a better employee this year" on your journal during the first day of January. Following through with the right resolutions that could make you happier, more engaged, and more productive in your work would be great, experts say.

Just as promised, here's part two of the list of expert resolutions that will greatly and dramatically change the way you work, according to Fast Company.

Embrace Your Haters

Amy Newmark, formerly a Wall Street analyst and now author of "Simply Happy: A Crash Course in Chicken Soup for the Soul Advice and Wisdom," says letting go of negative emotions felt from having unwanted or difficult people around you can greatly help.

Newmark says these emotions hurt you more than it hurts those who hurt you. To handle this, she suggests taking an analytical approach to people - don't take any their unwanted behaviors, such as yelling at you, personally. It's usually their issue, so don't waste your energy on grudges and bitterness.

Expect More Of Those Around You

Newmark suggests expecting great things from others in your workplace. This doesn't mean demanding or pressuring them to please you. Rather, it simply means trusting them, encouraging them, supporting them in their goals, believing they can succeed. This attitude will greatly strengthen your relationships with them. Wouldn't it be nice to have someone encouraging around?

As a bonus, Newmark says, when you make the people around you stronger, the more you will be enabled to accomplish your goals as well.

Ditch What's Holding You Back

Kathi Elster, coauthor of "Working for You Isn't Working for Me: How to Get Ahead When Your Boss Holds You Back," says that in order to keep going forward, you'll have to ditch what holds you back.

Try to distinguish the obstacles that hinder your progress in your career. Maybe the obstacle is a boss or supervisor who isn't helping you grow in your career. Or maybe the obstacle is your inability to say "no" to every person who keeps loading you down with tasks they are actually paid to do.

Elster says you should know the traps that you are caught in and do your best to break free from it. Take extra effort to clearing the obstacles in your growth and career path and see it grow.
