The Huawei Honor 6X is a budget phone now equipped with a powerful processor, above average battery capacity, full HD display and other new features. Huawei's mid-range phone is now available for U.S. consumers via pre-orders that started last Jan. 4.

Huawei has revealed in CES 2017 that it will be releasing the Huawei Honor 6X in the U.S. market with several modifications from its predecessor, the 5X. Moreover, the budget phone offers excellent specs particularly in performance, battery life, display, camera and more as listed below.

Huawei Honor 6X Key Specs

The Huawei Honor 6X has a 5.5-inch 1080p IPS LCD display with 3GB/4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB built-in memory expandable via a microSD card. It supports dual NanoSIM support and comes with Android 6.0 out-of-the-box.

The Huawei Honor 6X is now powered by the HiSilicon Kirin 655 that promises good power efficiency since it does not require intensive computing with its eight Cortex-A53 CPU cores and 16nm FinFET process, AnandTech reported. It also has a bigger battery capacity at 3430mAh as opposed to the standard 3000mAh with Huawei promising two days of battery life or 11.5 hours with video streaming, according to Ubergizmo.

Huawei Honor 6X Features

The Huawei Honor 6X retains the signature fingerprint reader at the rear, but this time it comes in a roundish button instead of a square one. It is still light at 8.2mm and 162 g. with a curved glass design covered with a pre-applied plastic cover that does not fully reach the bevelled edges.

Huawei integrated a new feature in the Huawei Honor 6X that prevents eye fatigue through its cool blue tint. It has a beautiful display peaking at 450 nits though not as good as the 2K resolution found in many premium smartphones.

Interestingly, the Huawei Honor 6X features the dual-lens camera setup with 12MP rear camera and 8MP for the front sensor. The camera is able to achieve the bokeh effect, which makes the background blurry when shooting subjects in front, Digital Trends reported.

Huawei Honor 6X Pricing and Availability

The Huawei Honor 6X comes in gold, grey and silver colors with the 3GB variant retailing at $249.99 dollars while the 4GB is at $299.99 dollars. The 3GB variant is now available for U.S. consumers via pre-order starting last Jan. 4 and with a shipping date of Jan. 15. However, the 4GB variant will only be available towards the end of the first quarter.
