The HTC Ocean Note was leaked on a Taiwanese news outlet sporting a curved screen design and without the 3.5mm headphone jack among other notable features. Moreover, a recent leak by a known tipster pointed to the Jan. 12 For U event where Ocean Note will be launched as the newest HTC U Ultra along with two other smartphones.

Just a few days to HTC's For U event, gadget experts are expecting the unveiling of the HTC Ocean Note along with two other devices under the Ocean brand, namely, Ocean Master and Ocean Smart. Interest in the Ocean Note is high since the phablet style phone fills the void left by the Note 7, explaining why any leaked information is looked into as listed below. However, caution should be exercised because these are all unconfirmed.

The HTC Ocean Note was leaked on ePrice, a Taiwanese news outlet, where the phone is reportedly with no 3.5mm audio jack, but supports the USB Type-C port that comes bundled with the USB Type-C headphones according to Pocket-Lint. It is powered by the MediaTek Helio P10 processor, comes with the 5.5-inch and 5.7-inch displays, and supports dual-SIM capabilities, the 4G and 3G.

The ePrice leak revealed that the HTC Ocean Note is a slim smartphone with round metal edges, a competitor to today's edge-to-edge devices. It also has an adaptive audio technology where the phone is able to automatically adjust the speaker volume taking into consideration the ambient noise

The HTC Ocean Note is reported to have the top ranking camera based on the DxOMark scores. The current topnotcher is the Google Pixel with its 89 points as reported by NDTV.

HTC Ocean Note As HTC U Ultra

Another leak from a known tipster, Twitter user OnLeaks, indicate the HTC Ocean Note may be launched as the newest HTC U Ultra that comes with a 6-inch display in three color options like Black, White and Blue, Phone Arena has learned. The HTC U Ultra along with two more devices, the Ocean Master and Ocean Smart may be launched in HTC's "For U" event on Jan. 12.
