Fire Emblem fans are dismayed yet again following reports that the "Fire Emblem Fates" manga might actually never be realized. A suspension is being hoped for but a cancellation of it might just happen.

It can be recalled that Kodansha's monthly Young Magazine announced in 2015 that "Fire Emblem Fates" character designer Yusuke Kozaki and story writer Shin Kibayashi were on board to create a "Fire Emblem" manga. The manga was supposed to launch in September but never did.

Anime News Network reported that just recently Kozaki tweeted apologizing to fans that plans for the much-awaited manga have eventually been suspended as of the moment due to various circumstances. However, he continued to give hope to fans when he added that he will eventually like to draw FE as a manga one way or another."Fire Emblem Fates" videogames have inspired several comic anthologies and four-panel manga since it was launched in Japan in June 2015 and in North America in February 2016.

On the other hand, Nintendo announced that two apps will be coming out on smartphones on March 2017. Wired Android reported that it would be the adaptation of community life sim "Animal Crossing" and strategy RPG "Fire Emblem." Reports added that like "Miitomo," it is expected that both apps can be downloaded freely ,however, this may include micro-transactions to access prestige virtual items .

The "Animal Crossing" app for instance, with its penchant for slow, gentle gameplay and ability to build and decorate a village, could likely sell items for players to place in their character's home. For Nintento fans the announcement is a little bit overdue since they are expecting these two apps to be out in Fall, this year.

Nevertheless, Nintendo has already confirmed the release date so there is something for fans to look forward to next year.
