The mobile VR industry has only two competing developers, Google Daydream and Samsung Gear VR and with 2016 about to end, let's take a look at which of these two will be on top next yea. Both Samsung Gear VR and Google Daydream are impressive but as early as now, there have been few signs that could prove that the latter will be able to beat its competitor in 2017. 

Broader audience

Google Daydream is being brought closer to the masses as Google signed up some partnerships particularly the major media companies along with Netfilx. With the recent moves by Google, people will easily feel the presence of such product thus making them want to try and eventually continue using the VR.

Google Daydream's Bundled Controller

The controller can offer hands on feels compared to Gear VR's, just don't mind the look because it is almost similar to the controller of the Nintendo Wii and it has accelerometer and gyroscope.

Compatible with more Smartphones

Google Daydream is now compatible with Moto Z and Moto Z Force along with Samsung Galaxy S6, Google Pixel and Pixel Xl which were initially compatible with the VR. There is no information as of yet on the additional phones that will be compatible with Daydream but reports suggest that more Android phones will be compatible with Daydream.

Ease of use

Google Daydream is user-friendly and reliable as the phone stays in place even if the user keeps moving.

Continous growth of the content library

Expect more VR titles to be added in the Daydream library next year.

Meanwhile, some other remaining minor issues have been remedied like the of Daydream's adjustability and eyeglass compatibility as well as the fit of the headset, New Atlas reported.
