LG Electronics has recently announced the Android smartphones that it will showcase in CES 2017 trade fair, particularly its "K" series that includes the K3, K4, K8 and K10. However, the US network operator T-mobile claimed that it will release LG K10 handset in a different name, the LG K20 Plus.

According to Evan Blass, a popular tipster, T-Mobile is seemingly planning to release a successor to the LG K10, under the monicker LG K20 Plus. No additional details about the phone's launch date, specs, and price have been leaked, but it is said that consumers could follow the original K10's specs.

NDTV reported that the LG K10 (2017) is expected to sport a 5.3-inch HD display, embedded with a fingerprint scanner. The display sports a resolution of 720 pixels by 1280 pixels at a PPI of 277 pixels per inch.

As per its internal chassis, the smartphone is powered by 1.5GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6750 processor and it comes with 2GB of RAM. The phone packs 16GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 2GB via a microSD card. In its optics department, a 5MP wide-angle selfie camera and 13MP rear camera is included.

The device also runs Android 7.0 firmware and is packed with a 2800mAh removable battery. It measures 148.70 x 75.30 x 7.90 (height x width x thickness) and weighs 142.00 grams.

According to Phone Arena, the first-generation LG K10 (2016) is already available on T-Mobile for $175 at full retail, which could be the similar pricing that will be offered on the K20 Plus.

Ahead of CES 2017, LG has revealed its array of five new smartphones that will be showcased in Las Vegas on January. Four smartphones will fall under its "K" series, namely the K3, K4, K8 and K10.

Other reports indicate that two other smartphones that are not part of the K series will be unveiled alongside the K10 (2017). The first handset is the LG X calibur while the second one will be launched on the market as LG Stylo 3 Plus, which the company claimed will "deliver an improved writing experience."
