Samsung is coming up with a new release of two of its versions of its Samsung Galaxy A3 (2017) and Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017). The two models are slated for release in the Western European Union in mid-January 2017.

Both Samsung Galaxy A3 (2017) and Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) have been given clearance by the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) and WiFi Alliance (WFA) signifying it is ready for release. However, a leak from a reputable leakster, Roland Quant claimed in a Twitter post that both units would be launched in Western Europe in mid-January instead.

Quant also specified that retail prices for the Samsung Galaxy A3 (2017) and Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) would be €349 (USD $364) and €449 (USD $468) respectively. He also said that both units would come in black, blue, gold, and pink, according to Neurogadget.

The Samsung Galaxy A3 (2017)

Samsung Galaxy A3 (2017) will feature a 4.7-inch 1280 x 720 screen. It is powered by a 1.5GHz octa-core CPU and supported by an ARM Mali-T830MP2 GPU. It has 3GB of RAM and an 8GB internal storage running on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. Its main camera is a 12MP snapper featuring autofocus, face detection, flash, and touch focus, while its front camera is 8MP.

The Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017)

Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) boasts of a metal body and will feature a 5.2-inch 1080 x 1920 screen. It is powered by an Exynos 7 Octa 7880 processor and supported by an ARM Mali-T860MP4 GPU. It has 3GB of RAM and a 16GB internal storage running on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. Its main camera is a 13MP snapper featuring autofocus, digital zoom, flash, and geo-tagging, while its front camera is 8MP, according to PhoneArena.

For now, there is no news on the availability of the units to other markets other than its leaked release in Western Europe. Samsung's Galaxy A series are decent workhorses that sport a lower price point than its Galaxy S series but let us wait and see if they will be successful in 2017.
