Robert Flores, an 18-year-old University of Jamestown student, has been charged on Thursday with terrorizing and engaging in 'satanic' threats that caused a brief campus-wide lockdown, last week. The lockdown was lifted once Flores was detained in downtown Jamestown.

Last Thursday, Flores of Thousand Oaks, Calif., electronically threatened to kill three students and 'drink their blood as a satanic ritual.' He is now been slapped with a Class C felony that is punishable by five years in prison and a $10,000 fine.

Jamestown Police Chief Scott Edinger said that Flores denies making any of those threats. But he admits speaking about them.

"I do want to fix this," Flores said. "I want to prove to the court I am not a danger to myself or anyone else," Inforum reports.

Ronald Flores, Robert's father, said that his son was just fooling around and that he has been expelled for his mistake.

"They don't understand," Ronald said. "We just kid around. It's like a punk thing. It's like a goth thing. It's just a thing in Los Angeles." The alleged threats were "all a joke. That's what it comes down to," Inforum reports.

Katherine Naumann, assistant state's attorney, said that Flores is already on a supervised probation from a previous criminal misbehavior and underage drinking incident.

Last Monday, University of Minnesota's West Bank was placed on a lockdown for an hour following an armed robbery attempt. University police said that a black man in a black jacket brandished a gun in an attempt to steal a student's laptop near Anderson Hall, NY Daily News reports.
