Xiaomi Mi5c has been leaked for some time now and been the topic of discussion. Earlier last month, a Chinese retailer leaked the specs of the handset that appears as the low-end of the Mi 5 line.

As per leaked reports, Xiaomi Mi 5c was supposed to be officially unveiled last Dec. 6, however, that did not happen. GSMArena reported that Tmall, a Chinese retailer listed the handset essentially confirming leaked specs about the handset were true.

The leaks have not deviated much from the actual specs of the Xiaomi Mi 5c the upcoming phone is powered by a 2.2GHz octa-core MediaTek SoC. It will run on 3GB of RAM with 32GB expandable internal storage and will reportedly run Android 6.0 based Marshmallow out of the box. Its OS will be skinned with Xiaomi's proprietary MIUI 8.6.9.6.

Xiaomi Mi 5c features a 16MP rear camera with a dual-tone LED flash module. Its front facing camera sports an 8MP shooter that is great for selfies and video calling reported DLBGadget. The full HD IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display boasts a 1080 x 1920 resolution with a 424-pixel density and wrapping it all in with a metal body.

The listing failed to provide details regarding the Xiaomi Mi 5c battery as well as what GPU it houses. However, the smartphone is said to feature the Sense ID ultrasonic fingerprint scanner on board. Listed below are details of its specifications.

Furthermore, experts advise ignoring the Xiaomi Mi 5c's listed price of CNY 999, which is approximately USD $144. The actual price point for the device could be CNY 1,500 or less or approximately USD $215. No release date for the Xiaomi Mi 5c has been officially announced but it is rumored to be unveiled within this month.
