Nvidia's top-end graphic card that is by far the most powerful consumer-level graphics card using its new Pascal architecture that can deliver next-gen VR experiences in 4K.

Undoubtedly, Nvidia's claim that the GeForce GTX 1080 is the most advanced GPU architecture is not without merit. As reviewers claim, the graphics card is capable executing super-fast frame rates that trump its predecessors and doing it all albeit consuming less power, according to Expert Reviews.

Employing Pascal architecture for Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 boosted its performance and efficiency, it placed a greater number of transistors by shrinking the manufacturing process down to 16nm as opposed to 28nm used by Maxwell. The Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 has 43 percent more bandwidth than the GTX 980 at 320GB/sec. and it supports a higher memory clock at 10,000MHz. This contributes to processing larger graphical data and delivering the same at a much higher speed.

With its ports, the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 is fairly future proof. It sports a single DVI, one HDMI port which can pump out 4K at 60Hz, and three DisplayPort connectors that account in making it future proof. The Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 is capable of pushing 4K content at 120Hz, 5K at 60Hz, and astoundingly, 8K at 60Hz by using two connectors.

The Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 is a technological achievement in itself. The Pascal core outclassed even the best Maxwell chips in both performance and efficiency. 4K gaming and VR is a joy with this GPU, even HDR gaming, and video playback is not a problem for it can decode HEVC video.

The only matter worth noting in getting all these is its price at $699 for the Founders Edition. But if you are in the market for an unmatched GPU, then this one is definitely for you.
