Elon Musk's space company, SpaceX, has been deemed as one of the best places to work in the United States. This is based on Glassdoor's annual list for 2017.

This is the first time that SpaceX has placed in the list, Inverse reported. Elon Musk's company took the 40th spot.

The results were based on data gathered from anonymous employee reviews from at least 75 people from Nov. 2, 2015 to Oct. 30, 2016. Bain & Company got the top spot on the list with a 4.6 over 5 rating.

Other companies in Glassdoor's list are Facebook, the Boston Consulting Group, Google, World Wide Technology, Fast Enterprises, In-N-Out Burger, LinkedIn, Adobe and Power Home Remodeling, among others. SpaceX ranked higher than BASF Corporation, Texas Instruments, Raising Cane's, Mayo Clinic and even IKEA.

The reviews for Elon Musk's space company revealed that 90 percent of employees would recommend SpaceX to a friend. A whopping 97 percent approved of the CEO.

One review from an employee who has been working at the company full-time for five years admitted that SpaceX's mission makes it "interesting" and "compelling" to work there. One of the cons, however, is the lack of work-life balance because of weekend work.

Another reviewer deemed SpaceX as a "great place to work" because of the free coffee and yogurt 24/7. Another called the company "out of this world awesome."

It was previously reported that SpaceX is confident of a January relaunch for the Falcon 9 rocket. If this pushes through, it would happen just four months after the SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket exploded on a Florida launch pad.

However, Elon Musk's company still does not have a license from the Federal Aviation Association. The company has confirmed that they are "finalizing the investigation" on the Falcon 9 rocket blast. They are also working on the final steps needed for a safe and reliable return to flight of the spacecraft.

Tesla, on the other hand, got only a 3.5 rating on Glassdoor's list. The long hours and work-life balance are also issues in Elon Musk's electric car company.
