AMD may be launching three new Graphics Processing Units (GPUs), namely, the Polaris 12, 10 XTN and the Vega 10 as leaked by a script code in the MacOS Beta. It looks like AMD is gearing up to reach a wider range of customers, targeting both mid-range and high-end markets with its latest GPU rumored to be faster and more efficient.

AMD seems poised to remain competitive for 2017 as it launched its "Zen" processors that will be carried by its "Summit Ridge" CPU. Moreover, the firm will also be launching three graphic cards other than just the Vega 10 GPU as previously reported.

The Hackintosh community has recently discovered three new graphic cards references at the MacOS Sierra driver script code according to Apple Insider. The code referred to the Radeon RX 475, RX 485 and the RX 490, which indicates that AMD may be targeting different markets for its cards hence the simultaneous releases.

The Radeon RX 490 graphics card on the Vega 10 GPU is meant for gaming enthusiasts who require powerful graphics for high-level games. The Vega 10 is a 14nm FinFET GPU that gives up to 4096 stream processors set from the latest GCN uARCH (GFX9).

The chip does a 24TFLOPs half-precision and 12 TFLOPs single-precision compute performance. The Vega 10 GPU also has 16GB of HBM2, which is set to clock at 512 GB per second. Moreover, the cards that are used in Vega 10 have a rating of 225W TDP.

The Radeon RX 490 is able to support a 4K Resolution and Virtual Reality gaming, a feat for AMD, which has been trailing behind Intel with its low-level gaming support. Its only saving grace that keeps it still in the competition is its affordable price especially for gamers who do not have the budget that Intel is asking, according to Digital Trends.

What the leaks reveal is that the RX 475 and RX 485 have been confirmed to be AMD's mid-ranged cards. Meanwhile the Radeon RX 490 is AMD's answer to the GeForce GTX 1080 Card.

AMD will now be able to reach a broader spectrum of consumers with its Vega GPUs with HBM2 meant for high-end markets and set for release in the first quarter of 2017. Meanwhile, mainstream markets will be able to have the Polaris 12 and Polaris 10 XTN, which have been enhanced to have faster clock speeds and efficiency according to wccftech.
