The Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge gets the latest Nougat beta update, which comes with a security patch for December, stability-related enhancements and bug fixes. However, the latest Nougat beta update has not yet fixed the in-screen delay issue where the there is a lag in the in-screen switching when the power button is pressed

The latest Nougat beta update for Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge brings the latest security patch for this month and many other bug fixes, just as what the South Korean firm has promised in previous updates. What noticeable about the Nougat beta update is that it comes with the Samsung pass, the Samsung Note App, and many other modifications.

For those who would like to receive the Nougat beta update in their Samsung S7/S7 Edge handsets, the company advises that users sign up for the Galaxy beta program, which can be accessed through the Galaxy beta program app and not the Play store. Once the Galaxy beta program app has been opened, click on the following buttons, "start," "menu" and "register."

Make sure to read the FAQ before clicking on the "register" button found at the bottom. Afterwards click the checkbox right beside the I agree and then the "agree" button. The user will then get a notification about the software update if it is available for download.

Samsung S7 and S7 Edge users may not be selected immediately for the beta spots are always full, but trying several times may do the trick, according to GSM Arena.

The Nougat beta update brings in a whole new look that veers away from the Marshmallow's settings and replaces with "squircles" or square circles with warmer hues of light blue accents in the background according to Android Central. The "Close all" button has also been relocated, the multi-window overhauled, and troublesome apps put to sleep.

Moreover, the Nougat beta update allows users to customize brightness, decrease blue light filter to prevent eye stain especially at night. The quick settings in the Samsung Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge allow users to control the amount of yellow in the screen or could even schedule certain times in a day when lighter hues are needed like just before bedtime.

The Applie iPhone 7 has this capability and now Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge users may use this new feature to their advantage and comfort. Unfortunately, the Nougat beta update is still unable to fix the in-screen delay issue, which the tech giant promises to do in following updates.
