The list of Xbox One backwards compatible games are growing. With the latest addition, there are currently 280+ games ready to be played in the console.

Among many popular titles, the recently added games include "Injustice: Gods Among Us" which entered the list on Dec. 1. The second game added on the same date was "Haunted House".

Xbox One backwards compatible was introduced back in 2015 and it allows Xbox One gamers to play Xbox 360 titles.

Previously, popular titles such as "The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion" has also been added and there will be more to come as the company is currently testing games for Xbox One backwards compatible.

Xbox One backwards compatible lets players to download Xbox 360 games on the console

To play Xbox 360 games, players must download the game by going to My Games and Apps menu in the dashboard. Express explains that for those who have the disc version, they can insert and install instantly to their Xbox One. One thing to note, the disc has to be inserted every time gamer wants to play a backwards compatible title.

There is obviously a challenge in making a game to be Xbox One backwards compatible and each title has to go through rigorous testing before it is finally released. However, Microsoft has promised to make more titles to support backwards compatibility mode and players should just wait patiently until their favorite game is available.

Among 280+ titles of Xbox One backwards compatible, here are 10 games added previously:

• A Kingdom for Keflings
• A World of Keflings
• BattleBlock Theater
• Battlestations: Midway
• Blue Dragon
• Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director's Cut
• Dig Dug
• Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon
• Left 4 Dead
• Virtual Fighter 5 Final Showdown
