Warners Bros. still hopes that it will make a hit with a "Suicide Squad" sequel. The film "Suicide Squad" may have been dismal but overall it was a huge success, claiming around $325 million in North America alone.

Although the "Suicide Squad" sequel is yet to be confirmed, it's still hard to think whether the producer Warner Bros. make a follow-up or not. And if everything goes well and a sequel is planned, Jai Courtney would love to come back and join.

Courtney played the fictional supervillain Captain Boomerang in the film "Suicide Squad." The actor is said to be keen on joining the "Suicide Squad" sequel, according to Den of Geek.

In a recent interview with We Got This Covered, actor Jai Courtney said that he had no idea if a sequel was in the works, but added that whatever happens he's keen to play Captain Boomerang again.

The 30-years-old actor has been vocal about a sequel in the past few months, telling MTV's Happy Sad Confused podcast that film director David Ayer did an incredible job, and adding that he love to make another film with Ayer.

However, director David Ayer has not made any further comment about the sequel story, but an interview with MTV in April, suggests that Ayer would love to get the film "Suicide Squad 2" an R rating.

As reported earlier by The Wrap, film director David Ayer hopes to fit the movie 'Bright' into his schedule before Warner Bros. brings him and actor Will Smith back for a planned "Suicide Squad" sequel.

Unfortunately, as mentioned earlier by Den of Geek, producer Warner Bros. is still filled with other films such as "The Flash," "Aquaman," "Wonder Woman," "Justice League 1 and 2," and other impending films.

Still, no words of confirmation yet from Warner Bros., not even a hint. Warner is reportedly pursuing another ensemble film which will feature Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn character.
