"Grand Theft Auto 4" is finally getting its first patch for PC after six long years. Rockstar has finally decided to release the latest update on the game since March 2011. The new patch will make it easier for the gamers to play the "Grand Theft Auto 4."

Following are the things that the new update does according to Rockstar:

•  The error code "WTV270" is added, which will indicate if there is a problem in connecting to the Windows Live Sign in Assistant or Games for Windows Live Servers.
•  Added Windows 8, 8.1, and 10 to compatible OS check.
•  Display Controller image is added to the Controller Configuration.
•  Fixed bug which made completing "Out of Mission" an impossible mission when frame rate exceeds 60fps.
•  Fixed a bug with the "Resource Usage" indicator on graphics card with more than 2GB VRAM.
•  A bug which restricted changes in settings when using video cards has been fixed.
•  Fixed a bug with the map crosshair on certain resolutions.
•  The bug in the "Brief" menu text scrolling has been fixed.
•  Fixed "drawlist overflow" crash.
•  Minor performance optimization.

Included in the patch is a new launcher update that could help those gamers who had been locked out by a server update to be able to play the "Grand Theft Auto 4" again, Kotaku reported.

With the latest update on the "Grand Theft Auto 4", the recommended system specs are much like what is in the phones nowadays. Only the "Grand Theft Auto 4" supports Windows Vista on a 2.5 GB of RAM.

According to PC Gamer, the specs recommended includes a CPU with 2.4GHz Core 2 Quad, a 2.4GB RAM and 512MB video card.

However, please note that in order to track LIVE achievements of the 'Grand Theft Auto 4", the player must be connected to the internet. Saving the game progress while offline can be done through the 'Offline Profile' that needs to be created, according to Rockstar Support.
