Chinese tech electronics maker Xiaomi will introduce its Mi 6 handset at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017, which is rumored to house a Snapdragon 835 chipset as its processor.

Earlier this year, Xiaomi dropped the Mi 5 in the tech market that maintains a steady marketability among smartphone consumers. However, no confirmation was announced yet on whether the tech company will adapt the Mi Mix's design for the new Xiaomi Mi 6.

Although there are still no official features, recent news delves on the device's internal chassis, particularly on its processor. GSMArena reported that an iSuppli analyst disclosed information that the Mi 6 will sport Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 chipset, tagging Xiaomi as the first Chinese device to feature the latest chipset.

If the rumors will turned out to be true, Xiaomi Mi 6 will be released at the same time as Samsung releases its Galaxy S8, which was earlier confirmed by Qualcomm as the first smartphone to carry the Snapdragon 835 that will support Samsung's 10-nanometer process.

Unfortunately, contradicting report says that nothing has been confirmed yet on the upcoming Mi 6 processor, FirstPost reported. The scarce information was even posted on the analyst's personal Weibo account, a social media website in China similar to Twitter, so the statement could not be held official from iSuppli itself.

On the other hand, the Snapdragon 835 chipset will give a high-quality power efficiency and performance while opening up territory for new mobile experiences, according to Qualcomm.

Since it caters a 10nm size that is significantly smaller footprint than their 14nm predecessors, mobile phone manufacturers can use the space to put a larger battery and slimmer phone designs.

Qualcomm's latest and greatest fast charging technology, Quick Charge 4, will be the fourth generation of its charging standard and will be engineered on the chipset to charge a typical smartphone from zero to 50 percent in about 15 minutes or less.

Unfortunately, features and design for Xiaomi's Mi 6 specs are still scarce aside from its new chipset. But more to the device's features is expected to be unveiled by Xiaomi on an announcement next year.
