You start by making your habits then you let your habits make you. What you are is a product of your own habits. This means that what you continually do will determine what you will achieve and what you will become in the end. The key thing is you have to make sure that you don't let the bad habits creep on you until you find it hard to break them. As the saying goes, "old habits die hard". With self-control and proper discipline, you are more likely going to be more successful and productive.

So, what are the bad habits that you need break?

Using your mobile phone, tablet or laptop in bed

Exposing your eyes directly to blue light emitted by devices like your laptop, mobile phone and tablet will make you feel more alert and that translates to poor quality of sleep. The blue light interrupts your body's production of sleep inducing hormones and that will make it harder for you to fall asleep at night. In order to get enough and good quality of sleep, it's better to avoid these devices after dinner.

Surfing the net on impulse

When you get so engrossed in a task, you fall into a state called flow where you become so engaged in what you do and therefore become very productive. It normally takes 15 minutes before you can really get engaged in a task so when you suddenly check your phone and get online to your social media, you will be pulled out of the flow and it will take another 15 minutes before you can get back on track.

Wasting time thinking about toxic people

Toxic people are everywhere and if you waste your time just thinking about them, they will only get on your nerves and that's unproductive. Instead of doing this, divert your attention to the people who matter to you, to the ones who deserve it. That will make you feel so much better.
