The Moto G4 Plus versus Lumia 650 Dual Sim pits specs, camera and price as determining factors to choose which phone is superior. However, the fate of the Lumia is hanging by a thread with Microsoft dropping the brand as rumored, meaning consumers may be better off choosing another phone like Motorola.

The Motorola Moto G4 Plus and Microsoft Lumia 650 were both released in early 2016. Listed below is the comparative look into the Moto G4 Plus versus Lumia 650 Dual Sim as reported in Gadgets 360.

Display

The Moto G4 Plus has a 5.5-in. display with 1080 LCD with a 1080x1920MP resolution while the Lumia 650 Dual Sim has a 5.0-in. display with 720x1280MP resolution, which is lower, thereby giving the edge to Motorola.

Processor

The Motorola G4 Plus is powered by Snapdragon 617 running at 1.5 GHz while Microsoft Lumia 650 has an inferior processor, the quad-core Snapdragon 212 running at ony 1.3 GHz.

RAM

The Moto G4 Plus has 2GB RAM, suited to switch among multiple apps as compared to Lumia 650 Dual Sim's 1GB RAM only.

Storage

The Motorola Moto G4 Plus has two variants, the 16GB and the 32GB while the Lumia 650 Dual Sim only has one at 16GB. However, both phones can be expanded to 128GB using microSD cards.

Battery Capacity

The Moto G4 Plus has the Li-Lon 3000 mAh battery while the Lumia 650 only has a lower Li-Lon 2000 mAh battery capacity, which seems small but the phone's battery is said to perform well in real time use.

Camera

The Motorola has 16MP back camera with auto-focus and dual Led flash while the Lumia only has 8MP with Led flash. Both phones have 5MP in the selfie camera.

Operating System

The Moto G4 Plus is run by Android 6.0, which is rumored to be upgraded to Nougat 7 while the Lumia 650 has the impressive Windows 10.

Price

The Moto G4 Plus is at $250 dollars while the Lumia 650 Dual Sim is at $339.98.

The Moto G4 Plus is more affordable given its impressive specs, but Lumia boasts of its Windows 10. However, there are key elements missing in Lumia like the Continuum and Windows Hello.

The Moto G4 Plus vs. Lumia 650 Dual Sim clearly favors the Motorola brand, which gives good value for money. Motorola has stayed true to its flagship phones as "cheap but good," Cnet reported. Moreover, the Lumia brand may be dropped by Microsoft, preventing access to support and future updates.
