Brigham Young University is ranked the No.1 school in the list of healthiest colleges in the country. The Daily Beast rankings were based on the school's drug-free status and its healthy dining options.

Brigham University (BYU) scored full marks in the Drug-Free category and 7.7 on the Healthiest Campus dining.

"We offer nutritional information for most food items that we prepare on a Cannon Dining APP," Leone Douma, general manager for the BYU's Missionary Training Centre and the Commons, said in an official statement. "We have a dietician that is on site every Tuesday to provide nutritional help. We offer a variety of healthy food choices for the student to choose from."

Joey Zambrano, an 18-year-old freshman from Laguna Nigel, Calif., was all praise for the Cannon Center Commons, which offer a variety of high-quality international and traditional dishes.

"The Cannon Center offers a lot of options," Zambrano said in the statement. "I eat healthier here than I did at home because the choices are so readily available."

BYU's students also strictly adhere to the campus's drug-related policies, as the university was also rated the most sober college in the United States by the Princeton Review.

Following Brigham is Biola University, which scored 9.2 on Drug-Free category and 8.9 on Healthiest Campus dining.

Bon Appetit, Biola's food service contractor, has won many accolades in the food service industry for its innovative cuisines. They not only prepare the food for Café Biola, the Eagles' Nest, Common Grounds, the Coffee Cart and the Talon Grab n Go, but also provide on-campus as well as off-campus catering.

The university secured the second rank because of its strict anti-drug policy. The use, possession or distribution of alcoholic beverages, illicit drugs, or other controlled substances (including misuse of prescribed medications or use of any substance with the intent of becoming impaired/intoxicated) by students of Biola is prohibited.

Students violating this policy are subject to disciplinary sanctions including but not limited to: substance abuse education programs, research papers, restitution, community service, fines, removal from housing, ban from residential housing, or dismissal from the University in accordance with its policies and procedures.

Liberty University coming third in the list has scored 9.2 on Drug-Free category and 8.5 on Healthiest Campus Dining.
