The flagship smartphones are anticipated to feature a higher specs on its chipsets and would adopt to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 in the year 2017.

While for some tech companies, this confirmation has been on a “fuzzy topic” as of the moment. But apparently, China’s tech company Xiaomi is on high hopes for a prospective affirmation for the chipset to be featured in its next flagship Xiaomi Mi 6.

According to Ubergizmo, CEO of IHS Markit Research Kevin Wong has revealed that the “Xiaomi Mi 6” could be one of the phones to adopt Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 chipset. The new flagship is set to be released in 2017.

Earlier this year, Xiaomi released the Mi 5 which is on a steady marketability among smartphone consumers. Apparently, no confirmations are yet announced to whether the tech company will adapt the Mi Mix’s design for the new “Xiaomi Mi 6.” Although there has still no exact release date, “Xiaomi Mi 6” is expected by tech analysts to be launched on the earlier months of 2017.

Another source from an iSuppli analyst stated that the “Xiaomi Mi 6” is the first Chinese device to feature the Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 chipset. It would be released at the same time as the Samsung releases its “Galaxy 8.” The Samsung Galaxy 8 is confirmed to have the Snapdragon 835 chipset.

The Snapdragon 835 chipset gives a high-quality power efficiency and performance while opening up territory for new mobile experiences according to Qualcom. It is at the 10nm size have a significantly smaller footprint than their 14nm predecessors which means that manufacturer can use the space to put a larger battery and slimmer phone designs.

Meanwhile, Xiomi has still to confirm anything yet about “Xiaomi Mi 6” features and specs. On the other hand, rumors spread that the “Oppo Find 9” would be launched in March with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835, but the tech manufacturer dismissed the report.
