The DC Animated Universe "Justice League Dark" brings exciting surprises as new female characters are rumored to be added.

Fans' expectations are even heightened when the film's director, Doug Liman, said that this project will be unlike the others, as he plans to create a superhero story entirely different from the conventional storyline.

According to IGN, Liman said that Warner Bros. comes to him whenever they want to do something unconventional and turn the comic book genre in its head, otherwise, they don't call him. Fans believe that his words hold water for he has proven what he has capable of in his remarkable movies, such as "Bourne identity" and "Edge of Tomorrow."

Aside from the promised surprises and twists in the story, rumor has it that the director aims to include and highlight the feminine powers in the storyline. Even if there is no report yet as to the new women characters to be added in "Justice League Dark," fans believe that the director will soon reveal more powerful women in the movie.

The trailer for the DC animated film has already been released. As expected, the video showed magnificent animation and supernatural scenes which left fans getting more excited to the film. Fans even look forward that the group will have to face adventures where they have to unleash mystical powers.

According to reports, the film characters include Zatanna, Swamp Thing, Etrigan the Demon, John Constantine, and Deadman. Accordingly, these characters will face various threats which add obstacles and excitement in the story. Meanwhile, the voices behind these characters will be Camilla Luddington, Matt Ryan, Jason O'Mara, Rosario Dawson, Jerry O'Connell and many others.

The dynamics in the DC Animated Universe that "Justice League Dark" will be bringing is set to premiere after several months. While there is no exact date for its release yet, the digital version will be available on Jan. 24, 2017 followed by the DVD and Blu-ray versions on Feb. 7, 2017.
