If you are looking for a job, you already know that you should have solid qualifications to meet the standards of the job you are applying for, which means that you should be able to highlight them well. According to a study, hiring managers or recruiter only take about six seconds to look at your resume before they make a decision. This is why you have to make sure you make those precious seconds count by crashing out the following things out of your resume, immediately.

• Objective. You do not have to state and use generic statements. It's already clear that you are interested in the position because you are applying for the job, unless it's about an entire change in the industry. Other than that, it would be best to indicate the things you are good at and how you can be an asset to your potential employer.
• Irrelevant previous work experiences. Make sure you only include the skills that will be relevant to the position you are applying for.
• Inappropriate email address. If you still have those cute emails addresses you have used when you were in college like Sweetmocha123@gmail.com, it's time to get a new one that will represent your professional brand today.
• Mailing Address. It is not really necessary and also not advisable to leave your complete mailing address in your resume for your own security.
• Multiple phone numbers. If there is only one phone number that's needed in your resume, that would be your mobile number, because you are the one who controls your incoming calls, the time you can pick up the call and the voicemail.
• Hobbies. If they are not relevant to the position you are applying for, then might as well take it out.
• Personal Details. It is no longer necessary to include your personal information such as your marital status, social security number, religious beliefs, nationality, etc.
• Personal pronouns like "I" or "me". There is no need to use these pronouns anymore because your resume is about you and no one else.
• Irrelevant Social Media. The URL's for your social media accounts are not necessary if they are not relevant to the job. Just include the ones that are related to the position you are applying for and those that are professional to use, like the URL to your LinkedIn page.
